About the project

The WIN project focuses on the fusion of sport and social inclusion to combat the social isolation of women and gender-based violence, two problems further aggravated by the pandemic crisis. Research conducted in recent years shows that the greatest burden of family management has fallen on women, causing isolation, anxiety, depression. Violent behavior has increased. There was a worsening of economic conditions and an increase in pathologies due to reduced physical activity.

Our Objectives

1. Promote female empowerment to establish a strong social welfare system
2. Cultivate relationships to address domestic violence against women and women with disabilities
3. Increase the level of awareness among women, encourage self-care, and reduce their caregiving and domestic responsibilities.
4. Reduce sedentary lifestyles among females to mitigate health risks.
5. Bridge the gap between women and the world of sports by encouraging their participation in sports associations and promoting employment and economic opportunities.

WIN - What Women Need involves 4 partners from Italy, Croatia and Spain,

These countries excel in sports, social, and environmental fields. With support from prominent sports clubs, top-notch social services, and dedicated third-sector entities, the project tackles problems with utmost confidence by working in synergy with women, families, and the environment they inhabit.

The results of the project will influence the local level ensuring greater gender equality, cohesion among women and sharing of European values among the residents. At an international level, it will have a positive influence on the sharing of know-how and the entry into Erasmus of a partner of the newcomer project. The project allows results and long-term replicability in other territories, its local-international connection lends itself well to new future challenges to ensure the well-being of European citizens and beyond.

OUR PURPOSE

By embracing the EU principle of equal rights for all, regardless of gender, we strive to empower women who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic. Our goal is to offer a path for women to conquer these challenges by participating in sports and becoming part of a supportive community. We believe that our initiative should not only help contemporary women in their quest for freedom, but also build trust and safety to foster their journey towards self-reliance and a fulfilling life.

OUR PLAN

Our plan is to support women in overcoming the increased inequalities and discrimination they face, especially those highlighted by the pandemic, by:

  1. Engaging women in sports to provide a healthy outlet for stress
  2. Building a supportive community where women can find solidarity, share experiences, and offer mutual support.
  3. Creating opportunities for women to actively participate in activities that foster a sense of freedom and independence.
  4. Ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment that encourages women to pursue a balanced life, free from discrimination and undue burdens.
